Goodbye 2009.
As years go, you had your moments and some of them sucked. Goodbye redundancy, bad friendships, feeling worthless.
Hmm maybe things sucked because I let them. Why worry about the ‘friends’ who let me down when so many others continue to show me what a lucky girl I am, and whose love and support help make me a better person. Why worry about redundancy when 9 months on I am self employed, paying my bills (just), free of organisational politics, back stabbing and the constraints of a job title.
So, on reflection, thank you 2009. The journey you sent me on gave me strength, self belief, understanding more of what makes me happy and an enjoyment of a new sense of adventure.
Hello 2010, here’s to embracing your new beginnings, the fabulous friends I have and the new ones I will meet, fun times, work contracts, feeling happy and being open to all the opportunities you have to offer.
